Sorry for the rather messy title of my latest blog entry, I realize it's stinks a bit. I had to get your attention seeing as how I have not been blogging very much lately.
My beautiful little girl Abby is currently sitting in the bathtub playing with her "Little Mermaid" dolls. The reason she is in the tub at 10 am is the subject of this latest blog.
Abby is in the midst of potty training. We have been trying to get her interested for some months now, ever since Christmas. She is only 2 1/2 currently, so it's not like we HAVE to get her trained right away, but it would be nice. She was interested a few months ago, but not interested enough to keep it going.
Just in the last week or so, she has begun to show much more interest, se we decided to give it another go. We used the added incentive that once she is trained, we can start to look for a puppy. We have been wanting to get a dog for a while, but Julie was pretty firm that she did not want to have to train a dog and a girl at the same time.
I took Josh and Abby to the humane society the other day and we looked at dogs, sort of a motivational trick on Abby. It seemed to have done the trick cause she is really giving it a go.
Up until about 30 minutes ago, we had not had an accident in about 4 days. That changed however. I saw Abby run into the bathroom, than saw her exit a few moments later minus pants and underwear. Lets say she did not quite make it. I had to clean up a bit of a mess and Abby needed a bath.
She is doing very well however, and I think that she is well on her way to the ultimate goal of getting rid of those diapers.
