Enough is enough already...

I have written about this before, and I probably am just repeating what you have all heard me say at some time or another, but I have to say....I HATE WINTER SO MUCH.

It's April 6, and it's 25 degrees and a near blizzard outside, will this terrible form of torture never end? It is almost funny, if it were not so frustrating. Winter has literally lasted about 6 months this year...6 months!! Half the year I am completely miserable concerning the weather.

Let me tell you about the day I had on Wednesday and Thursday, and it's mostly due to the bad weather.

I got out of bed tired Wednesday morning, Julie went to work at 8, so I was watching Curious George or something with the kids in the living room. I had just taken Moki outside, but it was SOOOO cold that Moki, nor myself wanted to be out there very long. He went "1", but I evidently did not wait long enough for "2". We can back in the house and I promptly fell asleep on the couch as the kids watched TV. We had the living room gated off so Moki could not run all over the house. Well, falling asleep was a bad idea, cause when I awoke about 30 minutes later, there was a big pile of "2" on the floor.

Next, I looked into the back yard and said to myself, "Hey, where is the trampoline I just put up last week when it was warm outside?" Well, I than noticed a large round object about 50 yards away in the muddy cornfield. The tramp had been picked up by a strong gust of 28 degree wind and was now in several pieces in the muddy field. I had to than drag my already tired self outside again and wrestle the partially dis-assembled tramp back into the yard and weigh it down with patio blocks so it did not again fly away. Luckily, the tramp was not damaged, just muddy and in a few pieces.
I was now very cold, very tired and very wet from the mud and wet snow that was falling.

At this point it was time to leave to take the kids to Nana and Pops house for the afternoon while I go to work and Julie finished her work day. I decided to take Moki as well cause I did not want him to be locked in his crate all day. On the way my son was petting him in the backseat when I hear "AHHHHHGGGG, GROOOSSSS, DAAAADD." Moki had gotten car sick or something and puked all over Abby's coat and the car seat. I pulled the truck over and picked up Moki and set him on my lap in the front seat. In the process I got puke all over my jeans. This was only the first act in this chapter.

When we finally got to Nana's house I got the kids inside and cleaned Moki off, got my daughters coat and threw it into the wash machine and tried to clean the truck up. I thought to myself, what a day, it can't get any worse.

Wrong...my daughter than had a slight accident in her own pants, nothing major, she is potty trained, but sometimes does not wipe herself well enough...this was the case. So I know had to throw her underwear into the wash machine. I thought it was silly to wash just a pair of underwear, so I thought I would get my work clothes on and throw my jeans with dog puke on them in the washer as well. About 10 minutes later I realize my cell phone is not on my person. Yep, it was in the pocket of jeans. Completely wet and beyond rescue....and if anyone has even tried to get a cell phone company to replace a cell phone that was damaged due to the owners own negligence, you know it's gonna cost you. $150 bucks for a new phone.

Now you must say that surely the bleeding must stop here right? No, not quite. Yesterday I got home from work for my supper break and found my mailbox was smashed in due to some punk kids playing mailbox baseball.

I blame the weather for all this. If it had been warm and spring like as it is supposed to be, I think none of this would have happened.

Please, please, please do your part to increase global warming, Michigan needs it.

This reminds me of that children's story, "Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day."

Hope it gets better... I mean warmer... soon. :-)

I think we should sue Al Gore for false advertising

I've got my air conditioner on with the windows open and several aluminum cans in the trash . . . just for you.
