Puppy update

The pace of life in the Kuiper house has been pretty busy lately. There are so many things I want to blog about that I end up not bringing up anything.

Lets try to get back into the swing of things with a puppy update. "Moki" is 13 weeks old now and a handfull. He is probably about 1/2 way to being house broken, but that still means little surprises are being left for us on a semi-regular basis. I bought a gate, we monitor him, we let him out to go "potty" as much a once an hour. Yet, it seems where our backs are turned for moments, there is a mess.

I truly must have forgotten how much work a dog is. I don't know what I was thinking, maybe that he would come trained, but Moki is proving to be a challenge. Besides the house breaking, Moki is a biter right now. He is teething, and I believe this will probably stop at some point, but now is always nipping and biting our hands and ankles.

My kids are totally in love with the dog at this point. My son Joshua is upset when he has to go to bed at night cause he can't be with Moki.

The name "Moki" is American Indian. We were looking for something that would fit an American Eskimo dog, and Moki was cute, he looks like a Moki.
