No Good Deed....

The saying that "No good deed goes unpunished" is absolutely true.

Julie and Abby were taking a walk last night down our road when they heard a faint "meow". The sound was coming from somewhere in the soybean field. Julie could not find the cat so she sent me in. After a little back anf forth from the cat and myself, I finally located the kitten about 1oo yards into the field.

I should have left the kitten to it's journey, but being the big softy I am for animals, I could not. The kitten was small and scared and worse yet, very cute. It looks Siamese with blue eyes and gray fur. The thing was very scared. It had probably been wandering in the 100 acre field for a while, it must have felt like the kids in the movie, "Honey I shrunk the kids".

Anyway, I took the kitten home and put it into our little animal crate that we don't really use anymore. I gave it some food and water and put it to bed. We have called our relatives, friends, and no one really wants it. We already have two cats and a dog and a lizard. We really can't handle any more.

When we got up for church today, we looked into the crate and the poor little guy had soined himself and the crate pretty bad. Not his fault, mine for not putting newspaper in the crate. Anyway, we cleaned him up, gave him a new towel to lay on and are now trying to figure out what to do with the little guy. We will probably send him to the human society where he will at least have a chance. I think he is adoptable, he really is cute. If anyone reading this wants a kitten, give me a call before tomorrow, otherwise he can be adopted at the Harbor Human Society in West Olive Michigan.
