Carving Pumpkins
I don't know how I feel about Halloween any more, but I personally have a hard time denying my kids some of the fun of the "holiday". Here are a couple of pics of the pumpkins we carved.
There is a great book out there called "The Pumpkin Patch Parable" and it's a great resource to use when carving pumpkins with kids. It relates the carving experience to what Christ does in our lives --He cleans all the yuck out and puts His light inside us, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend this book!
This is a great book. They also did this lesson at church for the 1st/2nd graders and Abby had it at Zeeland Christian. It's a great reminder for adults, too! Julie
I am in my mid thirties, I am married with two great kids. I am a college graduate with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice, History and Political Science from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am anti-winter, I bleed Michigan blue, dislike Notre Dame football (hate is a strong word), ride ATV's and enjoy watching LOST and 24.
