Once in a while I read a news story and think..."Hmm there is more to this story than just meets the eye." This is one of those times.
I am very interested in current events, new stories, etc. I am also interested in Bible prophesy, end times, revelation, and all that stuff. If you are a Christian you have to be really into the news, you really need to try and read between the lines and try and figure out what todays headlines mean to the Church and to you.
If you have studied Revelation and the different theory's about the end times that Jesus spoke about throughout this ministry, than you know that at some point there will be a form of world government. Many people think this may have something to do with the European Union, as I do. In what form I don't know, but I do know that money is what makes the world go around as it always has.
I also know that the United States does not seem to fit in much in Revelation, meaning that we are almost an afterthought, or sitting on the sidelines so to speak. What could cause the powerful United States to become a second rate nation, not in on the "poker game". Well I have no idea, another major recession, another major terrorist attack perhaps?
As we all know, the cost of oil is going through the roof right now and the value of the dollar is plunging. The value of the dollar is not getting the press I would think it would, no one seems to be all that concerned or even talking much about it.
But if you read this article, OPEC is talking about dumping the dollar in favor of the Euro...to me thats a huge neon sign that says "HELLO WORLD, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS". If the next world conflict is fought in the middle east, the middle easts main resource is OIL, the main world currency is the Euro and the likely source of the world government is Europe and the coming anti-christ is probably from Europe, I think it's worth paying attention to.
I can't fully articulate what is going to happen, how it's going to happen, or whan, but to me it's like looking at a connect the dot picture that has not been completed yet, you can almost see what the picture is going to be before you even connect the dots.
