Josh and I went to Camp Gerber today, it is a cub scout camp for the West Michigan cub scout district. Josh loves scouts and I am very glad...I really believe it's a great thing for kids to be involved in. If you go back into history and check out the bio's of astronauts and presidents and other successful people, many many were in scouting of some kind.
Not that Josh is going to be an astronaut or a president, but I think scouting teaches many things vital for a happy and successful life. I also like the faith part of scouting...they don't push God down your throat, but there is a subtle underlying theme of faith and God always there...I think that is good....many kids who might not come from Christian homes can begin to explore area of their lives in scouting.
Two of Josh's best friends from school are in his pack...and one came today so Josh had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed watching him.
